Money Smart

I created a video about being money smart and entered it into a contest. I could potentially win up to $1000! So please watch it and rate it!

Lack of Light

Something was different about the atmosphere. The disturbing noise I heard, was pushed to the back of my head. I was more interested in what had physically change around me. "Winter Winds" kept playing on normally, my computer screen was no different than before, then I looked at my book. I couldn't see a single word! The whole room was dark except the light illuminating from the contents of my computer screen. No more did my alarm clock read 9:04. The power had gone out.

Usually when the power goes out, it comes right back on. The darkness just stayed. We got out candles and flashlights to see. Needless to say, I finished my homework with a flashlight hanging from my ceiling.

Finally the electrical company came to the rescue. 10:35, the power was restored. A fuse, or transformer's circuit had broke. Awhile after the power had been on, there was surprisingly a knock on the door. The power cord which would fix the power for others in the neighborhood whose lights were still out, was conveniently in our backyard. Who would have guessed.

The crane was brought through the back gate and they began to dig. Eleven o'clock soon became midnight. Since I had school tomorrow (and still some homework to be done), I went off to bed hoping to get some sleep over that immense sound of digging.

Running PSA

For school I had an assingment. Make a video. I looked at it rather as something fun to create than as an assignment. This is what was produced.

Could not have been possible without:
Alycha, Emily, Taylor, and Ben

Entry "Epic" One

The one thing I have found that I am exceptionally well at is: Procrastinating. For starters, this blog. I don't know how long I've been saying I'll get around to it, yet it's finally happened.

Instead of doing homework right now, I am playing solitaire. I swear there are a million different ways to place the cards, and somehow I always end up with the loosing deck. There are sometimes when you just can't win. So instead of reading The Heart of Darkness, I have played 50 games of solitaire losing more than half of them.

I did however, before my splurge on diamonds and hearts, finish my Chemistry rewrite. They are the hardest thing. Worse than the actual test. After the teacher docks the points you missed, he leaves no explanation of what you did wrong. Fumbling through my notes, I hardly could rewrite it. So I had to do what every high school student hates: stay after school. This however served to my benefit. I could asked the question: How exactly do you do this? In a sense I finished my homework. . . for that class. I would say I'm about, hmmm. . . i don't know, one fifth of the way through. Now I know how my older sister felt when she was in high school.

My first blog entry. Feels epic, like I need to celebrate with a party. I think a nap will serve just fine.
